Precautions for pearlescent thermoplastic plastics
1. Polyolefin
Polyolefin has been stabilized with phenolic antioxidants before processing and molding. Because titanium dioxide reacts with the phenolic group of the antioxidant, the color turns yellow. For products with high requirements for aging performance, please select the treatedpearlescent powder to minimize the color change during processing and storage.Pearlescent pigment,Discoloration pigment,Fluorescent pigment
2. Polyvinyl chloride
Pearlescent pigments can be applied to soft and hard PVC. When choosing a stabilizer, it should be ensured that the PVC is still very transparent after coloring and stabilization treatment. The iron ions in the PVC formula will cause a decrease in stability, so when using pearlescent pigments containing iron, the stability needs to be tested in advance.

3. Need to be dried before processing
Pearlescent pigments generally contain about 0.5% adsorbed water. Hygroscopic plastics must be dried before use to keep the moisture content of the resin and pearlescent pigments within the specified limits. When preparing color masterbatches of hygroscopic resins, it is very important to dry the raw materials and the subsequent color masterbatches.
Pearlescent pigments can be used in any kind of thermoplastic plastic. Good pearlescent effects can be achieved by using any molding method, and extrusion molding and injection molding are generally commonly used.
