800-mesh lapis lazuli

  • details

Copper gold powder (also known as gold powder) is made from copper-zinc alloy as raw material through special mechanical processing and surface chemical treatment to obtain a scaly structure, which can float in the binder, show a golden luster, and has the nature of a pigment.Metal pigment.

Purity

The commonly used determination method for high-content copper is still the ancient iodometry method, which has large dosage of potassium iodide, high cost and much time-consuming. The newly developed photometric method is not suitable for the determination of high-content copper due to the problem of copper chromogenic agent. Therefore, it is necessary to study and develop new chromogenic agents. The author of this paper tried to control the pH value with acetate-sodium acetate buffer solution, and used disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA) as the chromogenic agent to determine the high-content copper in copper gold powder. At the same time, EDTA was used to mask elements such as zinc and aluminum to eliminate their interference. Cu^2+ and EDTA form a 1:1 molar ratio blue complex. The maximum absorption wavelength of this complex is 2 = 730nm, and the molar absorptivity is ε = 88.9. The copper ion content shows a good linear relationship within the range of 12-24mg/50mL. The linear regression equation is A = 0.0354 + 0.02317c, and the linear correlation coefficient R = 0.9995. The determination of high-content copper in copper gold powder by EDTA spectrophotometry yields satisfactory results and has prospects for development and application, especially suitable for laboratories of medium and small enterprises with relatively simple equipment.

Storage method

Copper gold powder and its products should be stored at room temperature and in a dry environment; unused copper gold powder should be immediately sealed. Otherwise, copper gold powder will deteriorate due to oxidation if exposed to air for a long time.
